Biking Route
The distance from our house to Via Valiente & Los Alamitos Creek Trail is 1.5 miles, and then it's another 9.5 miles to Willow Glen for a total of 22 miles round trip. Most of it is on Los Alamitos Creek Trail and Guadalupe River Trail. The rest goes through residential streets. Other than a couple ramps, the ride is pretty flat.

Lunch & Desserts in Willow Glen
There are many good restaurants in this area for lunch with outdoor seating. Note that many of them do not take reservations, though. Following are ones we've tried:
- Yelp: Crepevine Restaurant (San Jose) - Delicious crepes in a nice outdoor patio area
- Yelp: Opa! - Good Greek food with an outdoor area next to the Town Square and fountain
- Yelp: The Table - Delicious food with a nice sizeable outdoor patio area
- Yelp: Siena Bistro - Good food with an outdoor area facing the parking lot in the back
- Yelp: Sushi Arashi - Good sushi rolls. They don't have their own outdoor seating, but we can order takeout and sit at the outdoor tables near the restaurant.
We like to walk down Lincoln Street, check out all the dessert shops, and gobble up the scrumptious treats to destroy all the exercise we just did :D Following are places we've tried:
- Yelp: The Willow Glen Chocolate Shop
- Yelp: Willow Glen Sweet Shoppe
- Yelp: Dolce Sicilia Cafe
- Yelp: SusieCakes
- Yelp: Willow Glen Creamery
Hang Out at Willow Street Frank Bramhall Park
This park is very close to Lincoln Street in Willow Glen. There's a playground, tennis courts, and public restrooms here. We haven't been here before, but we're thinking to try it out. Haul our cache of desserts to enjoy at the park :P
