Keeping up with the J's and all those fun activities requires lots of energy, which requires food for fuel. Luckily for me, I like to eat, hahaha. Hmmm.. or maybe it's that I need those activities to offset all the food I consume, hahaha.

I'm not a great cook, and these busy days I tend to only cook easy or fast dishes, but following is a collection of dishes that the entire family enjoys eating. Some of the recipes are still in the tweaking stage, and there are plenty I haven't typed up into recipes yet :P

Favorite Restaurants

Following are some of our favorite restaurants, some of which we found on biking or skiing trips.

Emeryville, CA	Hong Kong East Ocean Seafood Restaurant	Chinese	Beautiful waterfront location, plenty of parking, and delicious food. Costs an arm and a leg though. Had roast duck, BBQ pork, custard crusted tofu with pea shoots.
Marina, CA	Smash Burger	American Fast Food	Very fresh and tasty, though a bit pricey and small portions for fast food. Truffle Mushroom Swiss Burger was divine. Haystack Onions and Smash Fries were yummy. For some reason, this particular location has better burgers than other locations we've tried.
Oakland, CA	Forge Pizza	Italian	Fresh and very tasty. Great burgers and chicken wings
Placerville, CA	Amerikan Ichi	Japanese	Delicious and inexpensive! We had sushi rolls and tempura. They also have an all-you-can-eat buffet.
Pleasanton, CA	Kaki Sushi	Japanese	Very fresh and tasty food. Had sushi rolls, beef teriyaki, edamame, gyoza.
San Jose, CA	Com Tam Thien Huong	Vietnamese	Delicious broken rice plates. Pho is also quite good.
San Jose, CA	MOD Pizza	Italian	Our boys absolutely love this place. They are cheap, super fast, fresh, and most importantly, each boy can customize their own mini pizza exactly to their tastes. Hubby and I love it too. The thin crust is delicious, and they have many different sauces and toppings to choose from, as much as you want for the same flat price.
South Lake Tahoe, CA	Off the Hook	Japanese	Very fresh and tasty food. Had sushi rolls, beef / chicken teriyaki
