Skiing Lodging

We usually go ski for at least 2 days at a time, which means we need lodging since it's too far to drive back and forth.  Following are lodging that we've stayed at before, the rates, and our experiences.

North Lake Tahoe

There aren't as many lodging choices in North Lake Tahoe as there are in South Lake Tahoe, especially nice hotels that are reasonably priced.  Renting condos was a better deal for us.

Would recommend if you're OK with all the stairs.

South Lake Tahoe

There are plenty of lodging choices in South Lake Tahoe, from budget to luxury and everything in between.

Tip: When driving to South Lake Tahoe, rather than taking Lake Tahoe Blvd into town, take Pioneer Trail.  Google navigation doesn't route this way, probably because distance is longer, but there is usually much less traffic and very few signal lights on Pioneer Trail, so it's faster.

Lot / ValetVery nice hotel with beautiful atrium inside.  Room has suite with 2 Q beds, and separate living area with sofabed, dining table, fridge, microwave. Free full breakfast provided and there's an indoor pool. Right next to Harrah's.  Our room was very close to the breakfast buffet area and pool.
