Prep Ahead

If you are joining our biking group for the first time, please check out some things you might want to set up:


Following is a checklist of things you might want to prepare prior to the ride:

Meeting Location

We will meet inside a small parking lot at the Beard Staging Area in Fremont next to the Alameda Creek Trail.  There is a small driveway at the Beard Staging Area cul de sac that leads to the parking lot.  If for some reason the parking lot is inaccessible (i.e. gate is closed or parking full), we can park in the cul de sac.

Biking Route

The route is @ 24 miles round trip, mostly flat, with the majority on dedicated trails. We start out on the Alameda Creek Trail heading to Coyote Hills Regional Park, bike through the park over to 84 Dumbarton Bridge, cross the bridge, and then to Facebook HQ in Menlo Park.  There is a short approximately 2 mile section of the trail in Coyote Hills Regional Park that is an unpaved packed dirt trail.

Lunch & Festivities at Facebook Bacon Blues & Brews Festival

Facebook is hosting a Bacon Blues & Brews Festival at its campus, where there will be food, music, kids activities, etc.  There is supposedly bike parking at the entrance. Â
