We met up at the IBM SVL parking lot. It was cloudy and very chilly. The E's were supposed to join us, but only E's Mama and Oldest E joined us. Little E had runny nose the whole week, and E's Daddy didn't want to go. We biked from the IBM SVL parking lot to Coyote Creek Trail and headed down to MOD Pizza in Morgan Hill. Hubby pushed Little J on and off, and he ended up biking 5.5 miles before he wanted me to tow him. At MOD Pizza, E's Daddy and Little E drove in with their bikes on the rack to meet us for lunch.Â
After eating lunch at MOD Pizza, we biked up a short steep climb to Anderson Dam. I was towing Little J on his bike and barely made it up the steep climb. I had to stop and take a break. Oldest J and Middle J zig zagged up, and Oldest E made it up with one break. E's Daddy drove his car up, hahaha. After going down Anderson Dam, E's Mama and E's Daddy swapped. E's Mama drove home by herself while E's Daddy and Little E biked back with us to IBM SVL. We took a short break at the Anderson Lake Visitor Center, where I unhooked Little J's bike so that he could bike on his own. We also badgered E's Daddy into taking off Little E's training wheels, but he said she feels more comfortable with them on. We went ahead and took the training wheels off anyway, because she looked like she could bike just fine without them, and no harm in letting her try first to see if she could do it. Sure enough, she was biking just fine, even weaving back and forth on the trail with no problem.
We biked to the Santa Clara County Model Aircraft Skypark. There were two groups of folks with their RC planes. The kids were excited about the planes, asking all sorts of questions about the planes. A 9-year old boy flew and landed an electric RC plane all on his own. We hung out there watching the planes and eating snacks while DK helped to upgrade the brakes on Middle J's bike.Â
After snacking, we left the Skypark, and Little J was too tired to bike more. He completely collapsed in the baby seat and was sleeping in no time, both arms splayed out to the side of the seat. Little E continued biking quite a distance more before finally asking E's Daddy to tow her. Â
The entire day was cloudy and chilly throughout, but everyone still had a good time.
